The Small Human Festival

The Small Human Festival is POSTPONED Until Further Notice

After monitoring reports, consulting with other arts organizations, asking parents their concerns, and thinking hard about best practices and responsibilities, On the Boards and Thingyverse Productions have made the difficult decision to cancel The Small Human Festival in April 2020.

We know the specific audience for the Small Human Festival has connections to vulnerable populations and we want to support the efforts the city and county are asking all of us to minimize the spread of the virus.

Please check back for updates regarding scheduling and to learn more about what the artists are currently working on.

Do Babies Get Art? Totally.
So Now the First-in-the-US Theater Festival for Babies!

“We believe that our youngest humans have a right to their own unique and joyful cultural experiences, and we’re bringing it to them this spring.” – Susie Lee, Thingyverse co-founder and executive producer

The Small Human Festival is the first-in-the-USA festival of performances for babies and toddlers. Free thinking, highly physical, and challenging of orthodoxy and cultural norms -- babies and performance art have more in common than you think! This groundbreaking festival offers the chance to experience short, sensory-friendly, new works of contemporary dance, theater, puppetry, music and visual art by some of Seattle's most beloved artists! This is a remarkable opportunity to experience thrilling performance alongside deeply curious, chubby-cheeked audience members who will be getting their minds blown by their first live performance experience.

These five performers will dig deep, exploring the most primal sources of joy and human connection. This is not just kid stuff. This is high art for small humans.
