Welcome to the 35th Annual NW New Works Festival!

Since 1983, the NW New Works Festival (NWNW) has been a platform for artists from all performance disciplines and a space to celebrate the dynamic arts community of the Pacific NW. This year, 16 companies/individual artists working across dance, theater, music, performance, and film were selected from Washington, Oregon, and Alberta. These artists will showcase new performance works (all under 20 minutes) over the course of 2 weekends, on 2 stages.

NWNW is curated by a panel of peer artists and arts administrators from across the region; festival participants receive an honorarium, performance documentation, and rehearsal time at On the Boards. Past festival artists have included Tim Smith-Stewart/Jeffrey Azevedo, Jessica Jobaris & General Magic, Kim Lusk, Vanessa Goodman/Action at a Distance, Waxie Moon, Markeith Wiley, Syniva Whitney/Gender Tender, and Petra Zanki.
