Washington Hall is alive again! Apr 23, 2010

Not only will  Washington Hall will reopen with a big party on Saturday, May 1st, it's also in the running with 24 other historic properties to receive $1 Million in preservation funds!   It was the first home of On the Boards, the site where Jimi Hendrix had his first performance, Marcus Garvey spoke and Billie Holiday sang.   With the help of 4Culture, this building was bought by Historic Seattle. You can   register on this site to cast your vote daily and add any memories or thoughts you have about Washington Hall.  The historic building with the most votes wins the jackpot, so this is it!
