Seattle Theatre Group and UW Canadian Studies center / Arctic & International Relations in the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies present a Fireside Chat with revolutionary Inuit throat singer, Tanya Tagaq. Ms. Tagaq will be in Seattle at The Neptune Theatre on April 6th presenting her score to reclaim the controversial film Nanook of the North. For the discussion on April 5th at UW, she will talk about her work with the film, honoring her heritage, and continued work as a dynamic contemporary Inuit artist.
