The Room Nobody Knows – Curator Note Feb 6, 2014

Purportedly, I said somewhere that The Room Nobody Knows is the strangest show I’ve ever seen, but to be honest, I don’t know if that’s true.

Five years ago in Dubrovnik, I watched the artist Siniša Labrović illustrate the idea of a self-contained ecosystem by repeatedly peeing into his own hand and drinking it. That was pretty strange.

The Room Nobody Knows - a synopsis Feb 4, 2014

From the program notes:

The story revolves around two brothers in an apartment on the day of the older brother’s birthday. The younger brother, who is supposed to be studying for college entrance examinations, instead devotes himself to the creation of bizarre objects for his beloved brother’s birthday celebration. Meanwhile, the younger brother’s alter egos, derived from his fevered imagination, support the party preparations in the upper room.
