Open Call: Feb 27 Performance Lab Jan 3, 2019
by Kiera O'Brien
Open Call: Applications are now open for our Winter 2019 Performance Lab
Deadline: Jan 18, 2019
Take part in our Performance Lab Series and receive time, space, and curatorial support for a new or developing piece!
New this season, Performance Lab is a continuation of OtB's longstanding commitment to showcasing works-in-progress by artists from across the Pacific Northwest. Artistic risk is a cornerstone of OtB's mission & values: supporting new works by regional artists is one of the most important ways we manifest this commitment. As a participating artist, Performance Lab offers you the chance to experiment in an informal performance setting, alongside and in conversation with other artists from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines. Each Lab includes a conversation with the audience—a chance for you to respond to questions about the work and your processes and to ask your own questions of the viewers.
This round of Performance Lab will take place on Feb 27, 2019 in our Studio Theater. Participating artists receive a small honorarium, light/sound technical support, some rehearsal space, and a studio visit with a member of the OtB curatorial team. Performances may be up to 10 minutes in length.
