I very excited that the Seattle Poetry Festival invited OtB to create a sampler of some artists that have performed in 12 Minutes Max. I have asked a few amazing performers to share some of their compelling work.

Lane Czaplinski's notes from a dinner conversation with Le Vu Long and Luu Thi Thu Lan at Ray’s Boathouse on March 6, 2007:

Long’s wife Lan lived and studied dance in the Ukraine for 10 years. After the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl, Lan was stranded in Kiev 80km away for two months while other foreigners from richer nations were evacuated. When she became pregnant approximately 6 years ago, Long feared that his child would be born with a disability, specifically deafness.

PNB and Molly Scott/Jarrad Powell Feb 21, 2007

In April, PNB presents their "Celebrate Seattle Festival". OtB is particularly excited about the inclusion of  OtB alulmni Mary Sheldon (Molly) Scott and Jarrad Powell! The week-long program also features work by  Kiyon Gaines, Robert Joffrey, Merce Cunningham, Val Caniparoli, John Alleyne, Sonia Dawkins, Jacqueline Fuentes, Toni Pimble, Donald Byrd, Trisha Brown, Christopher Stowell, & Paul Gibson.
