* Best smack-talking remarks
* Most artistic playing
* Most team spirit
* Best crowd cheer
* Team that tried the hardest
* Team that should stick to the arts

Here is a picture of last year’s winners  and a list of the awardees.

Tournament Logistics

You must check in to your court 5 minutes before your kick-off time (if you miss your time, your game will be forfeited).

Each organization is allowed to submit 1 official team. This team can consist of 2 players and an alternate. Players must be either staff or board members.  Please let us know your team participants and any official team name by September 20.

Here is a link to the International Badminton Federation’s LAWS OF BADMINTON.  Our games will go to 21 points in the first 3 rounds, and we will score using the USA Badminton Simplified Rally Point Scoring Guide (basically, you can score even if you are not serving…).   OtB’s Sean Ryan will serve as head referee and will assemble oversee referees for each game.

Party….

Like last year, we will host a small party to accompany the tournament.  We have rackets, birdies and $1 beers (thanks Deschutes!), water and Russian dumplings (after 5pm).  This event is officially 21+.

Feel free to invite your friends to cheer you on!

US Bank and The Boeing Corporation!

We are thrilled to announce that US Bank and the Boeing Corporation have generously offered to cover many of the hard costs for this event as part of their continued efforts to support our arts community and those of us who work in it! Thank you!

We are really excited to have another tournament and to have you all defeated on our courts and we encourage predictions and smack-talk on this blog.
