2015 Guggenheim Fellow Zoe Scofield is a dance and visual artist from Georgia. In 2005 Zoe and artist Juniper Shuey founded zoe | juniper (zj) working on video, installation and dance collaborations for galleries, museums and performance venues. zj have been commissioned and presented at American Realness Festival, Baryshnikov Arts Center, Bates Dance Festival, TBA Festival, CAC New Orleans, Carolina Performing Arts, CNDC Angers, DTW/NYLA, DancePlace, FringeArts, Frye Art Museum, Jacob's Pillow, On the Boards, Pennsylvania Ballet, PS122's COIL, PuSh Festival, REDCAT, Joyce Theater, Trafo Contemporary Art, and ICA Boston.
Throughout her career Zoe / zj has received residences, awards and grants from Artist Trust, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Rockefeller Foundation, Kawasaki Foundation, MacDowell Colony, MAPFund, Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, National Performance Network, NEFA National Dance Project, Princess Grace Foundation, Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Mellon Foundation, Trust for Mutual Understanding, among others. Zoe has an MFA in Dance from the University of the Arts.
