Belgian-born and longtime Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) Principal Dancer Olivier Wevers launches his new dance company, Whim W’Him, with 3Seasons. Inspired by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Wevers creates a radical take on our disposable world with dancers from PNB, Spectrum Dance Theater and the Seattle community paired with a thoughtful re-imagining of Vivaldi’s music by composer Byron Au Yong. Dancing with PNB since 1997, Wevers has performed lead roles in many major full-length classical ballets as well as an extensive list of contemporary works by some of the world’s most noted choreographers. Since 1993, he has choreographed works for numerous companies in Canada, Japan and the US, including PNB, Spectrum Dance Theatre and the Seattle Dance Project.
