Recently named associate choreographer of the prestigious Nederlands Dans Theater, Crystal Pite brings Lost Action to Seattle, featuring 6 of her favorite world-class dancers. Beginning as an analysis of articulated movement this piece unfolds to reveal a human element at the center of the work: the ephemeral body moved by the pumping heart. Pite’s April 2007 engagement at OtB displayed why she is one of the most technically stunning modern dancers on the West Coast. Since performing with William Forsythe’s Ballet Frankfurt from 1996 to 2002, Pite has quietly emerged as one of the most sought-after choreographers throughout Canada and Europe.
