Erin is the face behind the ticket booth. I've never even heard her speak. All I see are her piercing eyes and red hair and get a sense of the volcano just managed under the surface.

I am happy that I went to Redemption at On The Bords last night. I am an Erin Jorgensen fan and I have been privileged to witness a few really wonderful performances that she has given previously at OnTheBoards. Also, Richard Bresnahan, Lane Czaplinski , Julian Martlew and Steve Fisk! So, yeah... I went in pretty much expecting to dig the show.
If you saw the show and are curious about what you saw or if you haven't yet but want a teaser of what's to come, check out the track listing for Redemption:
Intro
You’re Walking Down the Stairs
Church of Erin
Magic 8 Ball/Sanctus
False Prophets/I Can’t Believe…
Craigslist
Prayer for Losers
Church of Erin Redux
50 Holy Objects/Outro
I am honored that On the Boards invited me to guest-blog about the new show Redemption. Being a longtime fan of Erin Jorgensen, Steve Fisk, and OtB, I knew that the show would be a unique blend of musical virtuosity, dark humor, and attitude . I was not dissapointed.
I thought it best to begin with a quick synopsis of Redemption

Here are some of the emails I woke up to this morning about yesterday's performances of Looking for a missing employee. And remember - there's a new show by Rabih Mroue tonight.
The Saturday, 8pm performance of Rabih Mroue’s Looking for a missing employee is SOLD OUT.
Looking for a missing employee, Rabih Mroué’s awarding winning performance/theater takes the audience into a different dimension. The experience alters the idea of traditional theater. The charisma of the detective pulls you into the maze of the world of the “missing”.
A couple of months ago, my friend Randi- who is an avid attendee of On the Boards' performances, asked me if I would be interested in attending Rabih Mroué's performance in January. I think I was so beside myself, I jumped out of my seat and my voice got high and sharp- signs of positive excitement.
Scanning the morning news, after experiencing Rabih Mroue's Looking for a missing employee, takes guts and perserverance. Any semblance of truth seems camouflaged and more compromised than usual. Rabih Mroue' is a master story teller who uses printed matter to, in this case, trace the disappearance of a Lebanese government employee.
Thanks to those of you who joined us for this performance of Looking for a missing employee. Did you enjoy it? What stood out for you the most? Leave a comment below!
Because Rabih is here for such a limited amount of time, and because mother nature forced us to cancel our Thursday night show, we will be adding a Saturday, January 21, matinee at 4pm of Looking for a Missing Employee. We'll have cider and hot chocolate and everything else to keep you warm.
Due to the conditions outside we are cancelling tonight’s performance of Looking for a missing employee.
Stay tuned for updates concerning tonight's performance of Looking for a missing employee. We are working with the artist to determine the best plan and we will make an official announcement as soon as we can. Please watch the blog and facebook for information.
